Serious Crimes Act 2025 Introduced

The Government passed the Serious Crimes Act 2025 into law today. The Act intents to define serious crimes and their appropriate punishments and is the longest Act passed so far at 20 sections long.

The Act also intends to be a point of reference for dictating what constitutes precise definitions of serious crimes, e.g the difference between first- and second-degree murder.
